When tiffing some PDF files with KeyView, you may notice that the tiffing operation fails.
The following error message is written to the "commandlineKeyview.exe.****.warn" log file:
Unhandled Exception: System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
at Autonomy.commandlineKeyview.VapiInterop.TiffComplete(IntPtr vapi, IntPtr document, String outPath, Int32 resolution)
at Autonomy.commandlineKeyview.CommandLineKeyview.execute(ArgsParser parser, String args)
at Autonomy.commandlineKeyview.CommandLineKeyview.Main(String args)
The root cause for this error is a configuration problem in the Tiff Server's kvsdk.ini file
To fix the issue:
1. Make sure the following line is active:
200=prsgfx 0 kvpicve.dll ; PDF support (using KeyView PDF reader)
2. Make sure the following line is commented out (place a semicolon at the beginning of the line):
200=doc 0 kvaxcc.dll ; PDF support (requires installation of Acrobat Reader as well)
Additionally, you may refer to and use the attached kvsdk.ini file, while making sure the HOME parameter at the bottom of it correctly points to the KeyView ViewSDK binaries
