CE breaks after update from 2.0.0.1

Hi All:

Here is what we are experiencing. Post online update from CE 2.0.0.1 to the latest (yesterday), we noticed that users cannot connect to use the online edit feature. We checked the connection in the Filr Admin Console and that was successful. In the CE > allowed host > No issues.

What am I missing. Are any others experiencing this?

Thanks.

    Some thoughts:

Try recreating the container  sh /opt/novell/base_config/CEcontainerRecreate.sh

Try redeploying a new CE appliance

What certificate are you using? some CAs have some intermediary certs that cause problems, try a file with just the public cert and key.

    Hi Robin,

    getting back to this:

    1) Recreating the container had no effect. 2) We are using lets-encrypt as our certs. 3) redeploying a new appliance with self-signed certificated worked up until the latest update (OpenText branding), at which time I received the same:

    This page isn’t working

If the problem continues, contact the site owner.

    HTTP ERROR 400

If this is still an issue, will you duplicate the problem and provide access to the /var/opt/novell/contenteditor/logs/coolwsd.log?

what happens when openssl s_client -connect filr.company.com:443 or ce.company.com:443 is queried.
Please enter on both systems. Are there errors?

to see the chain "-showcerts" option is needed

clearly --showcerts is necessary. My little text was a hint to approach the problem with openssl.
I trust that the admins here know openssl can be used as a tool with many possibilities.

    Hi All;

    Thanks for the input.

This issues was escalated to OT support who provided the following temporary fix:

    "Add enable.content.editor.check=false in /opt/novell/filr/apache-tomcat/webapps/ssf/WEB-INF/classes/config/ssf-ext.properties"

We are still investigating the root cause as we have upgraded this system for several years and this is the first occurrence.
