Filr 23.4 performance

Anyone seeing a big performance difference between 23.3 and 23.4?

    We have not had any reports of performance issues in 23.4.  What are you experiencing?  Is this a large or small deployment?

    We have a large deployment: 1 Filr server, 2 Search appliances, 1 PostgreSQL server, 2 Content Editor appliances.

    I upgraded our test environment from 5.0.0.2 -> 24.3 -> 24.4. On 24.3:

    • From entering your login/password to displaying the dashboard, it takes 4s.
    • To preview a DOCX file, it takes 2s.
    • To preview a PDF file, it takes 2s.
    • To display the available Net Folders, it takes 1s.

    On 24.4:

    • From entering your login/password to displaying the dashboard, it takes 133s.
    • To preview a DOCX file, it takes 45s.
    • To preview a PDF file, it takes 72s.
    • To display the available Net Folders, it takes 28s.

    I performed the upgrade twice from 24.3->24.4 with the same results. The only hiccup with both upgrades was having to run filrsearch-ssfclosed-indexer-lucene-5.0.0-150400.5.86.1-update-server-xml.sh from /var/adm/update-scripts on both search appliances per  MS SQL DB Connection Broken in 23.4 .

    I have looked at appserver.log Maybe I need to rebuild the search indexes? I am going to look at a packet trace from the Filr appliance.
