Hello,
I'm reaching out for assistance with a recurring issue related to the Filr client on my Windows 11 system. Specifically, I'm experiencing crashes in Windows Explorer that seem to be directly tied to the FilrAppHook64.DLL
.
Whenever I attempt to open a document from a Filr-synced folder, Windows Explorer crashes momentarily before recovering. I did a lot of troubleshooting and in all directions, including updating graphics drivers, running system file checks (sfc /scannow), testing the memory, and ensuring my Windows is up-to-date desinstalling and reinstalling Filr Client and rebooting multiple times.
Technical Details:
- OS: Windows 11 Pro, upgraded from Windows 10, current build 22621.3374
- Filr Client Version: 23.4.0.1575
- Error Messages:
- Faulting application name: explorer.exe
- Faulting module name: FilrAppHook64.DLL
- Exception code: 0xc0000005
- Fault offset: 0x000000000001f622
I have found an old discussion (5 years ago) about this DLL, but given the age I am wondering: Has anyone else experienced similar issues with FilrAppHook64.DLL
causing Explorer crashes
