Change Name of a NetFolder-Server

There are some long lasting installations of FiLR (Coming from ver. 1.x and were always upgraded)

But the names of the NetFolder-Servers are ugly and has to changed. The only supported way is to remove all NetFolders related to this NetFolder-Server, delete this NetFolder-Server and configure a new one with the new name. Afterwards you have to rebuild the whole environemt related to this NetFolder-Server. Oops?!?

We need a secure, supported way to change the name of a existing NetFolder-Server!

Because FiLR can be clustered all Konfig seems to store in the DB. So some SQL-Magic integrated in the admin UI should be possible to archive this.

Can't we just create new netfolder server, then reassign the netfolders to the new server? I tested and this seems to basically work. I do see sporadic errors in famtd.log referring to the old netfolder server though so guessing something is still referring to old location.

As you already assumed, there is a solution by changing some database tables in the background. However it is not simple and not really supported.
