Knowledge Document: Filr Content Editor error: "“Document cannot be saved. Check your Permissions....."

Situation

When saving changes to a file opened in the Content Editor, the error "Document cannot be saved.  Check your Permissions or contact the storage server administrator." is returned.

Cause

A communication issue between the Filr node and the Content Editor.

Resolution

  1. Open a putty session to the Content Editor appliance
  2. Edit the /etc/hosts file
  3. Look for an entry for the Filr node.  Change the IP address to point to the Filr node as opposed to the virtual IP address from the load balancer.
  4. After saving the change to the /etc/hosts file, run the opt/novel/base_config/CEcontainerRecreate.sh script.
