Client refresh / jump to highlighted email

After last weekend's upgrade from 8.0.3 to 2014, I have a client that has odd screen jumps that seem like some sort of refresh. His refresh rate is set the same as mine and I do not have the issue.

Here is the symptoms: In a long list of email, if he has scrolled down, the screen jumps back to the highlighted email, placing it as either the top or bottom email, depending if he is above or below the highlighted email when the "jump" occurs. These "jumps" happen at about 5-10 second intervals.

What might be causing this? If it is a setting, where can I change it?

Best regards,

Dan

I see exactly the same symptom in my environment. Most clients using Win7 64 bit, I don't think this has anything to do with video card drivers, just a plain ol fashioned client bug. Seen it happen on a vmware guest and thick client using latest nVidia drivers.
There are others I've noticed too. Like sometimes highlighting text in an email using the keyboard (shift home/end in my case) won't actually show the highlight. The text is still selected but you can't tell visually and the cursor disappears for a while.
New release version 0 problems I expect.

    Hi,

Is this behavior specific to a particular type of workstation/graphic card or a specific user?

    Let us know.

    Cheers,

No, not realy. I think everyone will have this behavior. In Mailbox View - sort by date - shrink the Groupwise Window and scroll a little down. With the next incomming mesage, the view jumps.

occures on GroupWise 12.0.3. Windows 7 32/64 different HP computers and a virtual terminalserver with 2008R2

    Hi,

You state that this happens on the GroupWise 2012 client - just note that this is the GroupWise 2014 forum.

Having said that, what is your backend 2012 or 2014?

    Cheers,

    Hi,

I appreciate that your server is 2012, however, I was questioning the version of your GroupWise backend - is that 2012 or 2014?

Looking forward to hearing back from you ;)

    Hi

OK, so you are running GroupWise 2012 thus it is not possible to test a GroupWise 2014 client against your backend.

If you are 100% certain that you have ruled out video card hardware and drivers, then I recommend that you open a Service Request with Novell Technical Support and get them to look into this matter.

    Cheers,
