You mean along with the various requests for a Mac client that has been ignored since forever.

Not ignored.  Just some very hard cost/benefit decisions. The PMs of the time do often mention it.  ARM Windows may be very different and the PM is very Idea aware, watches and maintains them.  In conjunction with discussions with the larger client$.

I would rather that opentext put all their resources into GroupWise Web. Eventually they could create a web app that could cache offline a bit, but webmail and improved GMS is the future of the product. 'Fat" classic email clients are going away in enterprises, they are nearly gone for mainstream consumers already, regardless of what you and I might think of the trend. 

Sadly, what is logical is often not popular. The power of a herd mooooving along is not to trifled with. We can try to nudge, but that is about all. <sigh>

Well, one could also think in terms of what is possible and at what cost. The people calling the shots are often, but not always, power users and power users tend to dislike web clients. GW is AFAIK a C++ app, presumably coded in Visual Studio. What would it take to retarget for ARM?

I hear you Anders. And I would love it! But there are significant challenges even within "simple" x86/64 -> ARM migrations within Visual Studio C++. Nevermind a legacy app like GroupWise with a number of third party libraries, etc. Microsoft is having issues getting developers to take ARM seriously right now; cross platform development of Windows only client applications on any platform is in serious decline outside of gaming and legacy enterprise line of business applications. Prisim emulation is improving, but has issues. As of Q3 last year, Windows ARM PC marketshare was 1%; the number of apps to be ported is immense, and performance demonstrated of translation - will this improve with a market share of Windows ARM devices currently less than Linux PCs? These are facts of the market, and if you are a very limited GroupWise development team, you need to aim for what will keep 90% of your current and future customer base happy at the lowest possible development cost, right? I don't see a native GroupWise client being ported to any other platform; I see GroupWise Web being aggressively developed and GMS improved so users have the option of using native device/platform mail clients of their choosing via MDM/ActiveSync/etc.

Another possibility; have you tested it on Windows ARM using Windows Prisim yet? It *may* just run with no modifications...
