GMS 24.2 - mcheck - python3

At a GMS 24.2 we get the known error:

RuntimeError: Bad magic number in .pyc file

but we run mcheck with:

# python3 mcheck.pyc
RuntimeError: Bad magic number in .pyc file

as recommended in <portal.microfocus.com/.../KM000019965>

What is missing in this installation?
