GroupWise Web android app

Hello,

I am running Groupwise Web latest dev version 24.4. On my Android phone I opened the webinterface with Firefox browser. Immediately after login in I got the message 'do you want to install the app'. And so I did. Now I have an app installed called groupwise. It is a kind of front-end app for the webmail.  See attached screenshot of the app details. On another device I was not able to reproduce this behaviour nor to install this app.

However, i like this option. Is this a hidden feature? What has triggered this. Anyone had the same experience?

Hi Jan - You can do this on chrome, Firefox, and safari. How you can duplicate it is go to the web login and click on the three dots to open the options and select "add to home screen" for chrome and Firefox, safari has a similar process but you need to go to the website, then tap the box with the up arrow and select the "add to home screen" option. - Hope that helps.  Pam

    Hello Pam,

Yes you are right. But this option to create some kind of shortcut I already knew. But I found out what I was experiencing. Only Chrome on Android offers a second option when tapping the 3 dots: 'Install'. It then installs as an app rather than a shortcut. Sorry for the dutch image ;). This creates a nice icon and an item in the installed apps.
