MAC OS duplicate appointments every minute

Hello,

we have exact one MAC in our system (the boss loves his MAC...) that connects to GW via caldav account.
On some appointments (not many) he entered I'll get the problem, that the appointment ist duplicated every minute.
That leads to about 500 new appointments/day.

The only possibilities to stop this are: powering off the MAC or stopping gwcalsvr.service on the GW-server.
I would prefer to throw the MAC out of the window, but my boss doesn't like this solution...

The problem exists sporadically since GW 2018 and under different MAC OS and seems to affect only appointments with several dates/times and, today, with multiple users and ressource-accounts.
Mailbox maintenance in GW-Admin didn't help (or did I use the wrong switches?).

Any ideas?

    I suggest to open a case and provide the calsrv logfiles, the easiest would be when you can duplicate this so this we can track.  If this can not be duplicate but you do have the log files of the time the issue for an appointment started (as we need to see the beginning) provide this and include details on who/what/when 

    When both are not there collect the logs the next time the issue happens and open the case so it can be looked at

    What is the os on your groupwise server?

    What build has groupwise 24.3?

    What is the os on your Mac?

    i am also beta tester by apple with osx sequoia 15.0 and had no trouble with mail or calendar

    Can you review this appointment and may be deleted it, to see if the trouble stop

    i had for many years this effect by migrating exchange to groupwise and here was the recurring appointments the problem with duplicating!

    GW 24.3.0-145919 runs on an OES 2018 SP3
    MAC OS I can't find out just in the moment, but the problem appeared on several OS versions.
    calsrv.log  says PRODID ...macOS 13.6.6

    If I delete every duplicated appointments (incl. original) it doesn't help.

    How did you solve the problem with "recurring appoitments"?

    the newest build for gw24.3 is 146153, open a case to become the latest version

    May be a configuration trouble with gwcalsvr or with recurring appointments

    deleting the duplicate appointsments will not be enouph, you must delete the origine appointment!

    As suggested answer, Rob ask to open a case for this, this will be the best method to analyze the logs and bugs

    plesase inform us!

    OSx13.6 is a older version, osx 14 is the actual version, osx15 is in beta state and will come begin september 2024

    our solution was to delete all recurring appointments coming from ms exchange and create it with groupwise! But this was 20 years ago! i think gw8?

    I looked at the logs and seen some exception errors and the loop seems to be based on these, i need to discuss this with dev so if anything more is needed the engineer assigned to the case will update you

    no use getting a "newest build" as there is no indication that anything related is fixed between the 24.3 release and the latest build....

    Rob, as long customer we had become the information from hotline, that they will not help when we had not apply the latest build.Only when this trouble is in the latest build, the hotline will help!

    May be this had change since OT, then you must better inform!

    Thats not the case and never been the case, we will however provide "if we think it is needed" a new build to test but this means we have an indication it could be resolving the issue or the build/version used is already a lot older. Also many issues like this are data related so not going to be fixed with a new build unless we know the issue or have fixed something

    We do not ask for every single issue to install the latest build before looking at it.

    Also build requests for new installations or version updates are fine, if you update from 24.2 to 24.3 and you ask for the latest build we provide this as you will not run into issues fixed since the released version

    But again opening a case does not require to have the latest build installed as we have almost every day a build so that would not make any sense...
