I think the best way to remove or uninstall programs on windows  is to use the control panel!

why do you not want to use it?

what software will you use for replacement?
I think that groupwise is the best and stable email and messaging system!

what are your troubles with groupwise? There are monthly webinars to anderstand the new functions and we can communicate with the product manager and developer!

how do you plain to uninstall the groupwise client?

The Control Panel is only the best for ones offs, it is a royal pain when you have to do a mass cleanup of things. (eg, "we didn't mean to roll that test app to all the systems, now how do we clean up" from some early ZCM usages).

As great as GroupWise Messenger is, it only works within a given organization, so what good is it if your professional services people can't use it to communicate with their various clients and partners at other organizations, even if they are running GW Messenger?

Sometimes the needs of an organization cannot be met by a given tool, and they have to move on, even if it means giving up all the security benefits of the tool.  No amount of zealotry can change that.

Which version of Messenger are you running? There was a big enough change not long ago that I suspect will impact this. i.e. I want to use a matching version in any testing I attempt.

What are you using for systems management?  ZCM or something else (of the many options out there)

I don't have an installation of it to play with at the moment, but beyond finding a straight forward uninstall, you may have options to simply stop it from running until you have done an overall client refresh that happens often enough for us, for either big configuration issues or simply hardware refreshing. (I have one client ramping up for that for 80% of their workforce as part of a move)
