GW2014R2SP1:Client does not show attachment if there is winm

Good afternoon,

I know where is a problem (Outlook and RTF mail format -- see https://www.novell.com/communities/coolsolutions/mystery-missing-e-mail-attachments/) but I want to know if there is a possibility to set up GWIA or something else users be able to see winmail.dat as attachment.

Today users can see a message (from, subject, text) but no attachment. Only source of message tab shows raw email where we can see there is a Content-Type: application/ms-tnef named winmail.dat.

Thank you for your co-operation. I appreciate any hint.

Hi Jan Dus,

Unfortunately with Outlook and the RTF mail format being [almost] native to Microsoft there's nothing that you could do on your GWIA or anywhere else to overcome this problem except fix the source of it i.e. get the sender to change the format.

Hi Jan,

Unfortunately there is little the rest of the world can do when Microsoft code proprietary type stuff that some of their own applications don't even understand!
