Outlook 2013 Email Client

Hello,

I've got a few senior executive users (powerfully build company director types) who insist in using Outlook 2013 rather than the GroupWise client. I know, I know ...

What is the prefered method to set this up so that they think they are using Exchange rather than good 'ol GroupWise on the back end?

Is there still a connector for GroupWise/Exchange or has that been dropped? Is it possible to connect Outlook to DataSync and is this a reliable method?

I'm trying to convince them to use the GroupWise client, but it appears that in their head email is inherently associated with Outlook.

Many thanks in advance,

  • You can even install Outlook 2013 on a machine with the GW 2014 Client
installed. If you then open Outlook it automatically connects to the
Groupwise PO, which the Groupwise client uses. Although it is not
perfect, mail does work quite well, address-book works too, but the
    calendar I did not test.

I personally hate the Outlook 2010 and 2013 mail client regardless of
the mail server in the back.
