Rebuild QF Index for one user

Hi Foum,

unfortunately the documentation tells me to do the same actions to update or rebuild the qf index for all users.
Quote from the gw 8 doc:

Updating QuickFinder Indexes:
POA Web Console You can update QuickFinder indexes from the Configuration page. Under the General Settings heading, click QuickFinder Indexing.

Regenerating QuickFinder Indexes
POA Web Console You can recreate QuickFinder indexes from the Configuration page. Under the General Settings heading, click QuickFinder Indexing.

I would guess that the "Update Indexes Only" under "Action Options:" in the POA Web Console will only update the indexes.
Two questions:
1. How to rebuild the index for all?
2. How to rebuild the index for one user?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Pascal
  • Hi Pascal,

On the web console, under configuration, if you click on the QuickFinder Indexing hyperlink the configuration page that opens allows you to enter a beginning user FID and an end user FID - this will allow you to recreate the indexes for just one person.

I would recommend that your /qflevel be set to 999 - that is unlimited indexing - this means that all the data will be indexed for all users.

    Hope that answers your questions.

    Cheers,
  • Hi,

you mentioned "recreate", where is that hidden button? In the Menu on the web console I can't find it. Only "update indexes"...
    Or am I blind?

On the other side, the hint with the User FID was helpful :)

    Thanks in advance,
    Pascal
