When did you get this notification? Product Upgrade? Update? Command line?

After I had the first update and the procduct upgrade. This error appears when updating after the product upgrade

No, I did not experience this error ...

    Did you run "prepare.sh"?

Your screenshot seems to be a command line output ... did you get this information in this little information screen during update?

Maybe there is one more piece which can influence our updates. Which version of SMG do you upgrade/update? Mine is really an early bird ( I cannot tell you now - still upgrading)

Both the commandline and the appliance console report the same. I did not run prepare.sh. It is not mentioned in the release notes. is that necessary?

    +1   in reply to

That was the first information screen when I clicked Product Upgrade.

    Please run /opt/novell/product_upgrade/prepare.sh

I did miss that message. Disappointed.  BTW I can't understand why a scripted update needs manual intervention. That should be avoided.

    We had this before too.

    Remember this information:

If errors are reported from this command, continue with the following instruction to complete the setup process.

To complete the switchover process manually, login to your appliance terminal as vaadmin, and issue the following commands:

       sudo /vastorage/smg/assets/updater/PostUpdate/update_scripts/update_v25.sh
       sudo service smg restart
