Solution
You have to put the client in the remote mode.
Try this:
1. Before you start the client, create a new folder in the location of your choice to be the location of the POP account content.
2. Start Groupwise.
3. When the dialog comes up looking for the PO location, change the mode from "Online" to "Remote Mailbox Path".
4. Supply the full path to the folder you created and click OK.
5. When prompted, create an GW, POP3 or IMAP email account.
From there, the account setup is pretty much the same as Outlook or Outlook Express.
One other note:
Because the GW client is made primarily to connect to a GW system, it will always look for a GW post office unless you add the following to the command line in the target field of the GW icon:
