Novell recently published a 'Top Ten Features Users Lose If They Move' flyer that spells out just a few of the things GroupWise users love about Novell GroupWise!
Of course, the flyer goes into more detail on each of these items and provides explanations. There were many features and capabilities to choose from, but these are the ones chosen for this flyer.
What would you miss?
So - now that I have your brainstorming attention - what are those things that you use every day in the GroupWise product that you simply could not live without?
Personally, I have a long list of things that are leveraged in GroupWise and that are customized to a particular way of working - MINE!! I have customized the highly productive habitat to manage my workload, schedule, and information. GroupWise is not only my calendar, task list, contact manager, and principal communication mechanism, but GroupWise is also my information storage and recall nerve center.
Most work days start and end with GroupWise!
Share what features you would miss or that you use the most!!
All I can say is AMEN to those clamoring for an updated Mac client. I have been a HUGE Novell supporter since I joined the network world with NetWare 3. I have championed Novell and GroupWise at both of the private schools I've worked in. We have operated in a PC world until out move to iPads (and thus the addition and now dominance of OSX) 3 years ago. The horrible Mac client has been the biggest complaint the end users (including the Head of School and several key administrators) have had. I continue to point them to the web client, but they miss the features they once had in the Windows client and still have in some ways on the Mac client.
We just upgraded to 2014 today and love the new Windows client, but our Mac users are still stuck in the dark ages. Any hope for a new Mac client? Web Access is great, but the features are not all there. Glad we can create rules now, but right away we learned that we still can’t delay the sending of a message on the Web Client. Any hope for a new Mac client ???
I REALLY do like Novell and GroupWise, but am losing the battle because of the horrible Mac client.
I can read all this about the possible plans, but if I don't have a definite answer soon, the board will force my hand and we will be moving to Gmail (I will kick and scream, but I like my job).
