Unable to add Domain Services for Windows users to the GroupWise Post Office.
Environment consists of an eDirectory tree configured on OES2 SP1 / SLES 10 and configuring Domain Services for Windows in an existing eDirectory tree. Install GroupWise on the eDirectory server and while creating the system add Domain Services for Windows users as shown in the screen shots.
ConsoleOne crashes while in process of creating a GroupWise system. Relaunching of ConsoleOne continues from "Collecting Information" state and reports that the domain folder and postoffice folder are already in use. After successfully configuring the GroupWise system with the workaround described in the solution, and launching the ConsoleOne reveals that Domain Services for Windows users have not been associated with postoffice.
GroupWise configuration goes through fine without reporting any issue. Launching of ConsoleOne and checking for Domain Services for Windows users association with postoffice reveals that no mailbox has been created for those users.
After the ConsoleOne crash, re-launch ConsoleOne and delete the domain and postoffice objects got created in eDirectory. Continue with the GroupWise configuration either using the existing domain and postoffice directories, or by creating the new directories. Create the GroupWise system without adding any users to postoffice while configuring. After successful configuration of the GroupWise System, associate Domain Services for Windows users to the postoffice manually. Now the properties page of users displays the associated postoffice and would successfully be able to authenticate to GroupWise account.
