GW 8.0 Service Pack 1 Hot Patch 1 has fixed the issue in the GroupWise client and now this will work with GW 8
Novell has released GW 8.0 Service Pack 1 Hot Patch 1 which has fixed the issue. If you want to use EZDial with GW 8 apply GW 8.0 Service Pack 1 Hot Patch 1.
I have validated what you are seeing under GW8. At this point it looks to me like a GW8 issue with the API I'm using. Even using the developer kit test code, I am only getting back the first character of each field. So I'm working this on the developer forums and as soon as I get an answer or fix, I will post an update. Thanks for the feedback, as I had not tested under GW8!
Thanks for the additional information. If you click the About button you'll see it does not list GW8 as a client (mostly because I couldn't test with GW8 at the time I wrote this). Seems to me this is the issue and something changed in the Address Book API under GW8. Give me a few days to look into this and I'll post an update if I can verify and resolve.
I'm running IE8 and there seems to be no problem. One thing to be careful of is the Certificates under IE7 & 8 - you want to install it under the Trusted Root Authorities (this does not happen using the default install like it did under IE6). You can batch / command line that as follows:
Pretty much the same as jarisv. GW8.0.1, CUCM 6.1 and nothing but the first character from the phone field in any of the address books. System, personal or other.
We did have to tweek the config (for long distance had just 1). Had to install certificates. Did that. Looks like it is working now. At least for those that are using IE6. For some reason IE7 does everything except actually dial. The phone beeps once real quick but doesn't dial. Not sure about IE8 as no one here is suppose to be using it.
Will post again if we figure out the IE7 issue.... unless you have an idea???
