Knowledge Document: POA Crashes from time to time

Periodically the POA crushes and connection broke while in use. This may occur with all instances of POA. GroupWise client can no longer connect.

Environment

GroupWise 23.x
GroupWise 24.x

Situation

POA crashes from time to time and GroupWise mail client can no longer connect. The web client and GMS may continue to operate.

Error 890f connection no longer valid is encountered

Cause

1. A client or server machine has crashed, or the process was forced to close without shutting down. The machine might have been exited while connections were active.

2. The GroupWise mail client is trying to use client/server mode to connect with the POA, but the POA is not set up for client/server processing.
