There are instances where a GroupWise Email need to be converted into Outlook readable file format and vice versa. The common file format for both GroupWise Client and outlook is .eml (Internet mail (MIME))

Situation

There are instances where a GroupWise Email needs to be converted into Outlook readable file format and vice versa.

The common file format for both GroupWise Client and Outlook is .eml (Internet mail (MIME))

Resolution

1. On GroupWise Client save the email file into .eml (Message format: Internet Mail (MIME)

2. Right click on the saved .eml file and open with Microsoft Outlook

3. From Outlook - save the email as text only (Save as type: Text Only (*.txt)

4. Open the email text file in Notepad then save as with .eml extension (NOTE: Save as type: should be set to All Files (*.*) and show file extension should be enabled.

5. Right click on the saved .eml file and open with GroupWise mail client
