1. Make sure you use the complete url link. If you click on it, some browsers as firefox will omit the last character.

2. Then you'll get the log in page. log in with your credentials

3. patch will appear and you'll be able to download it 

Is the last character a  ~ tilde? 

And would this work for anyone with OES maintenance? or is it specific for John?

I still get the same problem,  even opening this in Chrome and edge

always redirects to the Welcome to the new Micro Focus Support Experience page, like any other link I have tried to download.microfocus.com

might be a difference between internal MF and external to MF in that redirection as we are being herded over to SLD

I also searched for it under the older OES downloads available, but not to be found there.

on the welcome page, select Software Licenses and Downloads . 

In Please select an account, search and select your account

Then select downloads.

Select iprint and the version you've got, in this case 2.1 and patch will be there.

If still not possible, open a case and ask the support engineer to upload it to the case FTS site so you can download it from there. Patch is 1.6 GB
