Windows update : All ports disappear !

Hi there,

For many years when our group laptops get a new update from Microsoft we have had problems with the print settings.
The last example we have is for Microsoft 22H2.
In the print queue properties the port is gone.
The only solution is to reinstall the Iprint client.

Who has had this problem before?
Neither Micofocus nor Microsoft have the solution.

Hi, today i upgraded the first of our workstations from Windows 10 21H2 to Windows 10 22H2 and we ran into the same issue with iprint ports missing to all installed iprint printers.

I will open a ticket at microfocus.

I upgraded another windows 10 workstation from 21H2 to 22H2 and there the iprint problem didn't show up there. - On the affected workstation i ran the "nipp.exe"-installer afterwards which fixed all iprint printers on that machine.(The iprint ports are available again / the printers work.) - This is exactly as you described before: A reinstall of iprint client fix the issue, and in fact, it does...

(I don't saw any error messages, in the print queue the status was "waiting" and the document was not printed at all. After reinstalling iprint client, all the waitung documents were printed)

Yep, that's i said. The only solution is to re install Iprint Client (Not remove and install, you lost all Iprint printer).
But why we have this issue ?We are more 30 000 users, Every Windows update  generates many it supports.

We haven't any error message. But all ports, as my first message, are disappear (Or not available yes)

Microfocus has already informed Microsoft about this issue. Microsoft should fix it and do not erase iprint configuration when applying a patch or when performing an upgrade. It is nothing to do from Microfocus side. Open a case with Microsoft and inform them as well about this issue, it may help to get it fixed.
