Security updates for iPrint Appliance

FYI

Suse security updates has been released for Appliance 5.x.

There will be not security updates for Appliance 4x because 4.x runs on top of sles 12 sp3 and SUSE not longer provides security updates for this version.

To keep current with security updates, you need to upgrade to iPrint Appliance 5.x

Normal opentext (Microfocus) patches will still be provided for both versions, 4.x and 5.x

Thanks

    Hi Caroline,

This has always been an issue: Where should a particular post reside?

The Discussion forums are the most active. The first post in a thread usually describes an issue that needs resolution. The ensuing discussion generates activity and interest that allows posts to the discussion forums to become highly visible for a short period of time. That makes these forums an attractive place to provide timely tips to a wide audience but it doesn't take very long for threads to "disappear" when activity diminishes and, with the very poor search engines available to us on this platform, some of these threads are never to be seen again!

As you point out, Tips / News / Events, is where information contributors should post their content but the lack of visibility is an issue for timely information.

I would suggest this as a solution to the dilemma:

Information contributors should post their content in Tips / News / Events where it rightfully belongs then follow up with a post in the the Discussion forum referencing the newly created content in Tips / News / Events. Yes, this is a little extra work but it leverages the strengths of both forums to provide a permanent home for content and the immediate visibility that one desires.

Kevin, appreciate your suggestion! Yes, that should work, at least for me!
