This document explains how to configure PaperCut accounting solution on Open Enterprise Server or iPrint Appliance for iPrint Printers and iPrint Direct Printers.
iPrint Printers: The print jobs are sent to the iPrint print server and then to physical printer.
iPrint Direct Printers: The print jobs are sent directly to the physical printer.
Refer to the below mentioned links for installing and configuring Open Enterprise Server and iPrint Appliance.
Open Enterprise Server 11SP2: https://www.novell.com/documentation/oes11/iprint_lx/data/front.html

To perform iPrint Printer accounting, configure PaperCut Primary server on Open Enterprise Server (with iPrint configured) or iPrint Appliance.
To configure PaperCut Primary Server: http://www.papercut.com/products/ng/manual/ch-installation-novell.html
On successful configuration of the PaperCut primary server, iPrint jobs for iPrint Printers will get accounted.
Perform the following tasks:
A. Installing the print provider software on the secondary server:
Install the print provider software onto the secondary server. On a Windows server or workstation, this is done by selecting the "Secondary Print Server" option in the installation wizard.
Note: If the PaperCut primary server software was previously installed on the Windows server or workstation it must be uninstalled prior to installing the Secondary server software.
B. Configuring print provider to contact the primary server:
The Print Provider on the secondary server needs to know where the primary server is installed. The location of the print-provider.conf is "app-path\providers\print\win".
On successful configuration jobs printed through the iPrint Direct Printers will get accounted.
A. Installing the print provider software on the secondary server:
Install the print provider software onto the secondary server. Download the latest Mac DMG disk image and execute the contained installer called PaperCut NG Secondary Server Installation.pkg.
B. Configuring print provider to contact the primary server:

The location of the print-provider.conf is "app-path/providers/print/ mac/print-provider.conf".
C. Enabling iPrint Direct Printers for accounting:
Double-Click on the command script, the path is /Applications/PaperCut NG/Control Printer Monitoring.command, and enable monitoring for the Direct Printers.

Printers enbled for accounting are now listed in the format as mentioned below under Printer list section of Primary PaperCut Server,
