Environment

iPrint Appliance 23.4

Situation

The update to iPrint Appliance 23.4 halts with the following message:

<IP Address>:9443 says
The Update process has reported a warning or error.
Review the returned text below:

The following 4 packages are going to be upgraded:
curl libcurl4-devel novell-iprint-release

The following product is going to be reinstalled:
"iPrint Appliance 23.4"

The following 2 NEW patches are going to be installed:
iprint23.4-2024-2 SUSE-SLE-Module-Basesystem-15-SP4-2023-4962

Cause

This issue can occur when patching the iPrint Appliance using MF SMT where both OES & iPrint repositories are mirrored.

If only iPrint repos are mirrored, the issue will not be seen.

Resolution

Accept the warning and re-register.

  1. Accept the warning "One of the installed patched affects the package manager itself...".
  2. De-register the online update service.
  3. Register the online update service.
