Knowledge Document: "Authentication service is not reachable" on iPrint "Identity Source" page

The error "Authentication service is not reachable" shows when going to the 9443 tool, Manage iPrint Appliance, and clicking the "Identity Source" link. The following command shows that the iprint-auth service either won't stay loaded or is in a perpetual "activating" status. systemctl status iprint-auth.service

Environment

iPrint Appliance 24.2

Situation

The error "Authentication service is not reachable" shows when going to the 9443 tool, Manage iPrint Appliance, and clicking the "Identity Source" link.

The following command shows that the iprint-auth service either won't stay loaded or is in a perpetual "activating" status.
systemctl status iprint-auth.service

Restarting the iprint-auth service or restarting the server does not get past the problem.
