OES 24.1 without ifconfig/netstat?

Hi all,

is it normal that tools like ifconfig/arp/netstat are in new OES 23.4/24.1 no longer available?

Searching on the net only bring me the info that "net-tools" is required to have this tool but net-tools is currently installed on my servers...

These tools are depricated. "ss" has replaced "netstat" "ip" has replaced "ifconfig" To get the older tools you need to install "net-tools-deprecated". # rpm -qf /usr/bin/netstat net-tools-deprecated…

To get the older tools you need to install "net-tools-deprecated".

# rpm -qf /usr/bin/netstat
net-tools-deprecated-2.0+git20170221.479bb4a-3.11.x86_64

# rpm -qf /usr/bin/ifconfig
net-tools-deprecated-2.0+git20170221.479bb4a-3.11.x86_64
