It was our experience that no "good" templates exist(ed)to keep track of Group Policy settings. We had seen a couple ofdocuments, but they were not really that helpful. We created our own documentsto keep track of policy settings.

Our templates were created in a basicExcel spreadsheet format and are configurable for any environment. The basic workbook is edited to show a "sample" and "default" set ofpolicy items on different worksheets, but worksheets can be copied,renamed, and edited to account for whatever policies that you want todeploy in your environment.

We have covered both Windows 2000 and Windows XP policy templates.
