    • Solaris Sparc 8/9

  • Solaris 9 x86

  • RH 7.2

  • Windows NT

  • AIX 5.1

  • HP-UX 11.11







Installation steps in Solaris 9:

  1. Copy & unzip dsrk52-SunOS5.8_DBG.zip, after unzip there is a java class with name DSRK will be available

  • Run java DSRK

  • Follow the instructions and provide installation directory

  • Later exports the paths or copy the paths to be exported into /etc/profile file.



EX:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/root/DSRK/lib/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
export PATH=/root/DSRK/bin/dsrk52/:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin

Here DSRK is installed under /root/DSRK folder.

Benefits Using Directory Server Resource Kit : It provides a tool called ldclt.

  1. The ldclt tool is a powerful and flexible client for creating and running stress tests on Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directory servers.

  • The tool generates LDIF files and performs searches, additions, modifications, deletions, or renaming using complex randomizing capabilities to simulate real usage conditions.

  • The ldclt (LDAP client) is a multithreaded application developed using the SunTm ONE LDAP SDK for C.

  • It is designed to be used in automated tests on a directory; its command-line interface is extensive and suitable for scripting. This will allow you to run complex tests automatically and compare performance over time for reliability.
