User Report last X days List messages archived

Hi,

I have a user and you do as well that says "Retain is not working"

You the IT person goes to Retain and looks for a report for user X

You want to see the last week, month or x days what day messages were processed.

You only see one report that says the user MUST be happy because they have archived X messages in the last 30 days.

You the IT guy get kicked around because you thing your system is working and your users are tools.

Is there a way to get a detailed report showing each day how much mail has been archived per user.  I know the user and I put it in the report "Messages Achieved by User"

This is what I get, not a report but a summary:

User Full Name (Mail Server)
Message Store
SuperHero, XMan
23112
11313
91.62 MB
(mailstore1a)
Archived:

I understand what you want. I do not see a report like this. Well, you can check your jobs and within a job you see how many items for a user have been processed and archived. But you want to have a report where a user is the central point. So add this idea to Retain Idea Exchange.

If you want to show your user if items have been archived or not, then let's work with the RetainArchived flag. So every user can add this column to a folder within GroupWise and then he can see if items have been archived or not; '1' = archived. This can help you to create trust.

we do not set the flag "Mark emails as archived" in the DB, so the full client cannot look for it.

So the IT guy has to run manual reports for the last 7 days and print them out....  I see we will have some grumpy Retain admins if this keeps up. LOL

the "Job Run Mailbox Summary" once ran for that user on that date does not print the date the query was.  After each query the last name field gets reset.  This is quite the process. So if my user only archives once in 30 days and says retain is not working I have to do this 30 times to say it worked on x/xx/xxxx and you must not have put any mail in the folder to get archived.  I spend 1 hour to show the user has only archive once in the whole month...
