Illegal Characters

Hi,

We're associating Storage Manager group policies with eDirectory groups to create storage on NSS volumes. If the group we're associating with has a colon in its cn, when NSM creates the folder the colon is replaced with :. I understand that the colon isn't a valid character for Windows file systems.

Is there anything we can do to have NSM create the storage without the translated character? It's currently difficult for us to rename the groups.

Cheers,

Anthony

I am afraid that you will have to wait for version 5.1, which will
allow you to use choose another attribute other than SAMAccoutName to
determine the name for the associated folder that gets created. For
instance you will be able to setup the policy to use the displayName
    attribute instead.

    Hope this helps,
