Client 3.1.1.15 hangs on startup for about 30 seconds

we have upgraded to 3.1.1.15 and when we now launch the client it hangs for about 30 seconds-1 minute after launch, i think that it checking for updates bit failing ?? the server has a perfectly good working network connection

anyone else seeing this ?

    HI there. I have also seen this, both on my own VM's and on a customer site this week (06/24/14). The Product Manager has been informed, so there should be a fix shortly. to get around this for the moment, I went into "Configure / Client config" and unchecked "check for updates". You can still do this manually. When a fix comes out, simply re-check the updates box.
