ACICONTENT_ERRORTIMEOUT in Web Client

Hey Folks,

 

 

We are getting the following message when doing Content search in web client.

 

 

"Error executing a SQL statement. Function request (Retrieve dataset rows (GetRecordset64)) for HP TRIM Workgroup Server '<Server name>' failed. Workgroup Error. IDOL function aciObjectExecute() failed with ACICONTENT_ERRORTIMEOUT. Timeout when doing aciObjectExecute".
 
I'm not sure what to do about it. any Ideas????

    It's almost certainly nothing to do with the web client. You're experiencing timeout errors with your IDOL document content indexing/searching module in HP TRIM that will need to be investigated. In theory you'll probably see similar errors if doing the same type of document content searches using the HP TRIM Windows client.

     

    TRIM Enterprise Studio allows you to specify a timeout (in the document content index properties), and the IDOL configuration files all have timeout values that can be reconfigured if necessary. By default they're all set to 60 seconds. After changing any of these you'll need to restart the relevant services for the changes to take effect.

  • We are also having a similar error with IDOL Content Indexing on RM 8.1.1.7919

     - IDOL function aciObjectExecute() failed with ACICONTENT_ERRORTIMEOUT. Timeout when doing aciObjectExecute.

    This is running the TRIM client not the web client

    It's just a timeout error due to poor performance.

    Two options, throttle IDOL so it only returns a few results but within the timeout (or extend timeout).

    Second option, resource it better. :)
