Record Owner

Hi,

We are having some issues with users being able to move records from one container to another. It seems that the owner of the records with Content Manager is set as a 'Group' and if that group is not in the profile associations of the user then they are unable to move records around.

Should the owner be an Organization? How can I get around this issue without having to go through and change the user profiles.

This is one of those quirky (crappy) settings in CM that has never been changed and generally makes no sense at all. As a result we set the Owner Location for ALL records in our dataset to be the top…

Hi Steph, nope, no need to add the top level org to the users profile, as long as they are 'somewhere' under it - in our case in their position and several layers down... Good luck!

Thank you Strider_1. Can I ask if the top level Organisation location is added to the associations of the users profile or is your location structure set up so the positions fall under the overarching organisation?
