Content Manager has an option to redirect client database request to another Workgroup Server. This article discusses what happens if the 'redirect' workgroup server is not available: https://portal.microfocus.com/s/article/KM000001730?language=en_US

In the CM Enterprise Studio setup for a Workgroup Server in the General tab, there is an option to select another Workgroup Server to "Redirect client database requests to Content Manager Workgroup Server" (for the purposes of this article referred to as the 'redirect' server).

1. What happens if the redirect server is down or fails? Does the original source server go directly to the database and bypass the redirect Workgroup Server?

2. Does the redirect server have the same timeouts as if a client was connected directly to it?
