Content Manager (Records Manager/TRIM)
Situation
When using ADFS authentication for CM client, or HTTPS connection to the workgroup server, an administrator type user is unable to access some admin functions in the CM client. This is intended behaviour.
Cause
Using ADFS authentication and/or connecting to a Workgroup Server via HTTPS are indicators that a user is connecting to a Cloud version of Content Manager, and in the cloud, the client computer will not be able to access certain resources that exist in the Cloud, e.g. the URL of the IDOL Index Server, or the file system path that is used when adding objects to a Document Store.

The time out settings on ADFS OAUTH tokens come with can also cause issues for long running Content Manager programs, as the program gets a timeout during running and the user cannot log again.

As a result, a number of tasks on the Administration tab in the Content Manager client will not be displayed if accessing the client using ADFS authentication, or connecting to the Workgroup Server via HTTPs, or using Explicit Windows Authentication.
