slow restores on hyper-v backups

Hi all,

Can anyone shed any light on this issue, bascially we use Trilead VM Explorer 6.2.001 (we like the GUI..) to backup our vmware esxi 5.5 and hyper-v 2012 r2 hosts.

Basically vmware restores are quick around 30MB/s but the hyper-v restores are drastically slower running at around 7MB/s which makes restoring some of our VMs nearly impossible due to time frame involved.

Can anyone help?
