Hi,
Could you please share a screenshot so we can see where the problem is happening?
Did this ever work?
Regards
Juanjo
Hi,
yes it worked once. Now it is not working anymore. I dont know why.
Hi,
I see the direct copy options seem to be grayed out too.
What is your VMX version? And the VSphere version?
Thanks
Juanjo
Micro Focus VM Explorer® 7.1.001 (64-bit)
The vSphere is not working. I am trying to restore it.
Now that we are talking about it, this seems to be the problem, isnt it?
Could you please clarify what you mean by "vSphere is not working"?
If the vCenter/ESXi is down then I don't think we can restore a VM to a datastore on that vCenter/ESXi.
TThe ESX are still running. But The vSphere VM ist broken and I wanted to restore it with VMX.
Do you mean the vCenter?
What is this host 192.168.1.98? vCenter or ESXi?
192.168.1.98 is one of two ESX Hosts. It is still running. The vCenter VM ist broken and I want to restore it.
I believe backing up the vcenter itself was always a little tricky, specially when using memory snapshot, because it could freeze the vcenter while it was being backed up and make the snapshot fail.
But apart from that I don't remember any other limitations when backing up the vcenter itself.
Have you tried setting a different destination? Not a datastore but a local directory in the VMX server. To see if it helps?
I set des ESXi as the new destination (instead of the VCenter) and now the restore ist working. Thank you.
