Custom Inventory Field

I have been tasked to create a custom inventory field in Zen 11.2.3. I am not sure if this is possible. If not, is it possible to modify the name of a field to a different chosen name?
We have some software running on certain computers that do not show up in the inventory in Zenworks. It is because it's a module contained in other software that is inventoried. Hence the need to create a new field

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks Thomas for the info. I created a new Administrator Defined Field, used the LIST option and set it to Yes and No. I set it as a component. I'm sorry, but I'm very new to ZCC. I cannot find the defined field under Inventory/ Detailed Hardware/Software Inventory.
I was trying to create a field that can be edited, then have the technician choose Yes or No as to whether there is a module installed.
