ZAM 7.5 Department field not filled anymore

Since the fresh install of ZAM 7.5 we have a problem with a few fields not being filled.

In ZAM 7 the fields were being filled. We were not able to migrate the database fro Oracle 9 to Oracle 10 and started fresh.

The following fields are not filled anymore (See also the red squares in the gif-file):

Department
Soort PC (User defined field)
Standaard Werkplek Versie (User defined field)

Is there somone who has a suggestion for a solution?

Since you did a fresh install and did not migrate data then department would be blank and UDF's would have to be re-created. In your prior install how did you populate the data? If through AD imports then those will have to be re-configured and a one time run to populate or scheduled to maintain.

If I understood incorrectly please post back and someone here will try to help.

    Thanks, Bryant

I found the solution! The ols ZAM 7 environment wasn't thrown away. After some investigation in old documentation I stumbled upon the inserted RegistryKey in the "Public Collection Option Sets".

We have a "regular workstation scan"-option set. You can configure the collection editor. The default value for "Department" had to be set to "%HKEY:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Novell\Login\History\Contexts\1". Now slowly the field is populated with the appropriate data.

    Thanks for your reaction,

    Paul

Awesome find. That certainly makes sense.

    Thanks for sharing the outcome.
