EXE files not being scanned

We have checked scan EXE files in the option set and when we run an EXE usage report for a specific EXE, we get nothing. Any ideas?

Are you seeing the executable in the software files report?
How frequently is the inventory running?
Are you seeing usage for other executables?
    What version/IR of ZAM?
I'm assuming you're not seeing any active or run time usage.

    Couple of possibilities:
    - The file was not run within the time period of the inventory: The software file data is not kept historically like the inventory data. It is refreshed at each scan.

    - The usage time is very short. Usage is displayed in hour increments.

    - The file in question is not the one that is loaded, but it kicks off another file. Test this by looking at Task Manager when the file/associated application is running. Is the file listed?
