Schedule/Alert does not work ZAM 7.5 Webconsole

I tried to configure a "Achedule/Alert", but I get the following message:

Unable to complete .
Details:

I configured the mailserver as I did in ZAM 7, but I get the same error. It doesn't matter if I only want to store a report or mail it also.

In the logfile (ColSvrCoreEvent20091009) I find this message:

<EVENT AT="9-10-2009 9:58:43" SEVERITY="Warning">
Message Layer Error in Message Server Error Event Service Host
Implementation specific reason., Host = 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000

Message Layer Error in Message Server Control Layer Service Remote Host
Unrecoverable error, connection aborted.

Message Layer Error in Message Server Control Layer Receive Message

Message Layer Error in Message Server Control Layer Receive Data

Message Layer Error in Socket Receive

Message Layer Error in WinSock Library recv
Socket: 1232, Error Code: 0
</EVENT>

I can't pinpoint the cause with this message.

Is there someone who has tackled this problem within ZAM 7.5 and windows 2003 server?

    Have you verify with your Exchange folks (or other if non Exchange) that the SMTP settings you entered are correct and that the Exchange server (or other) will permit the relaying of email messages?

    Also check your Task Server log, as alerts I believe are essentially scheduled tasks.

    Thanks, Bryant

    The problem also occurs when I choose only to save the report. Maybe there is a configuration issue or database field missing ...

    Can you supply your Task Server logs? That might shed some light on this for us. I am going off memory here but they will be on the your task server under Program Files, Novell, Asset Management in a folder callled logs. It will be date time stamped and have the work TaskSvr in the title of the text file.

    Read what you find in there to see what error messages are coming back.

    Thanks,
