Uninstall fail


   I havew a 2020.3 appliance server as for lab.

I enable antimalware function for testing , a device I want to uninstall it...it show antimalware uninstall fail.

I try to use agent clean tool...it also could not uninstall antimalware ...after reboot ...keep endpoint security .

I find a KM document.

    We had the same issue, this is how I resolved it.  (removing the value in "Key" worked)

    1. Reboot into safe mode.

    2. Go to

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Endpoint Security]

    3. Reboot and uninstall, won't ask for a password.

    I also have a ticket opened with support, as the Zenworks Security Dashboard is not refreshing, and when trying to uninstall the malware agent on any workstation, it fails.  Support has sent me this:

    It appears the Certificates used to Sign ZavListener.exe and ZavConfigure.exe expired in July.
    This is impacting the integration between the Bitlocker Native Files and the ZENworks Agent.
    Reverting the "Time" in the lab appears to have helped with many of the associated issues.

    Once we have corrected files, we can check to see how your various issues are going.
    I don't have an ETA.....but at least we have an idea on at least part of the issues happening.
    (Note: ZCM 23.3 will not resolve your issue, the ZAV executables in 23.3 were signed with the same Certificate.)

         I re-test it on 23.3 agent....this anti-malware iindeed could not uninstall by normal ZCM agent uninstall.

    But use procedure by   provide, then use agent clean tool to uninstall.....the ZCM agent with anti-malware client could remove success.
