Anti-Malware - Additional OS Support (matching ZESM Agent OS Compatibility)

Status: New Idea

Ideally, anywhere the ZESM agent can run, Anti-Malware should also run. From a customer's perspective, this improves the return on investment for ZENworks substantially in mixed OS environments. From a Zenworks developer's support perspective, supported Linux and macOS OS versions appear to be supported already on BitDefender; API calls should be very similar within the agent, overall cost to implement and maintain should be relatively low.

    And another point to make...Generally "ZENworks" is licensed "Per User" and ZESM is often part of the Suite...Hence customers will not need to buy extra ZESM Licenses for a device that does not support ZESM just to get anti-malware.

    It's all Good....I was just clarifying for the folks who will read it...And yes...I 100% agree that it would be great to have Anti-Malware on Mac/Linux.

    "ZESM" is a Windows only Product and it's unlikely ever to be available for Linux/MAC.

    However, Anti-Malware does not actually require ZESM to be installed....It's just part of the Suite.  What you actually want is for Anti-Malware to run on any device that supports the ZENworks Agent (Not ZESM) and supports BitDefender.
