Environment

ZENworks 2020 Update 2

Situation

When attempting to register online appliance updates via the appliance console (9443) with an existing key, the following error message is encountered "There was a registration failure. Verify the correct data was entered in the registration dialog"

suse_register.log:

Resolution

1. If there is an outstanding ZCM/other ZEN entitlement that hasn't been activated, please activate in the SLD portal (https://sld.microfocus.com/ ) . There may be delay/wait for processing after activation.

2. Retrieve the most recent appliance key from SLD portal and attempt to register again.

3. If that is not successful, please obtain the following log files from the appliance involved:
/var/opt/novell/va/logs/suse_registerE.log
/var/opt/novell/va/logs/suse_register.log
all /var/opt/novell/jetty/logs/jetty.stderrout.out* files
/var/log/zypper.log
