ZENworks appliance access Github

I have been reviewing my school district's Internet content filter and noticed it blocking my ZENworks server from accessing Github.  Honestly, I did not expect to see my ZENworks appliance (fully updated and patched) to be accessing Github.  Does the server need access to Github for updates or do I need to further investigate the appliance for a potential security issue? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
