I'm trying to find out if this is a problem with the way we apply GPO or if it just a problem with Windows 11.
The setup is as follows:
A GPO with only security options activate the option: Interactive logon: Don't display last signed-in
and the option Interactive logon: Display user information when the session is locked is set to: Do not display user information
The problem is:
When the PC i booted up it shows "Other User" (as it should, this is what we want).
But when we log out from the system it shows the last username on screen, until Windows lock screen times out and you have to press any key to login again - then you you see "Other User" again.
If you only lock the user it says "Other user" as it should. No problem there.
My thought went to the Registry option: PersistPolicyatUserLogout
But we don't apply the policies with users, we use Policy Groups, assigned to Dynamic Groups.
