Updated 22 June 10: Monitor Windows services with Wildcard

This is a modified version of the NT_ServiceDown KS which allows service names to be wildcarded using the % character. If used, any service matching the criteria will be monitored automatically. A mixture of wildcard and non-wildcard service names may be entered, and the wildcard applies to both internal and display service names. Please note, however, that this KS will not work on Windows 2000 servers, otherwise its behaviour is the same as the regular service down KS.

Update 22 June:

  • Apply wildcard feature to service exclusion parameter
